When the Monnig Meteorite Collection was donated to TCU, all of Oscar Monnig’s correspondence and associated papers were included. These are, in themselves, important historical documents, chronicling the life of Oscar Monnig, who was one of the most influential meteorite collectors of his day. They also provide evidence for some of the wonderful stories that lie behind the meteorites in the collection. We are currently working with the TCU History Department and the Mary Couts Burnett Library to digitize all of Monnig papers.
