We do request that all groups larger than 10 individuals book a guided-tour of the Gallery so that we can help you make the most of your visit.
When Oscar Monnig died in 1999, a considerable amount of money was given to the Geology Department at TCU from his estate with the purpose of maintaining the collection. On Saturday, February 1, 2003, the Oscar Monnig Meteorite Gallery was opened for the public. With about 10% of the best meteorites in the collection on display, this is a world class facility. The gallery is located in the Sid Richardson Science Building on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
